Ramdev to farmers: Time you get your rights from govt

Exhorting all farmers to stand united, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Friday said “the killing of one Muslim in India causes mayhem across the world”. “Similarly, if one farmer commits suicide, all farmers should stand united with him,” he added.
Speaking at a farmers’ meet organised by Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Ramdev asked the farmers to get their demands accepted while the Modi government was in power.
“While I don’t think there should be atrocities on anyone…but if one Muslim dies, it causes mayhem across the world. Similarly, if one farmer dies, you should all stand united with him,” Ramdev said.
He also said that while the government had set up several pay commissions for the welfare of government employees, there had not been any “aayog” (commission) for farmers. “Everyone has benefited from them (pay commissions)…from peon to PM, everyone. Has there been any aayog for farmers? It is time that you get your rights from the government while Narendra Modi is there,” he said.
