BKS’s Pratinidhi Sabha to begin on Feb 3

Mysore : 2000 karyakartas from 5000 districts of the country will participate in Bharatiya Kisan Sangh’s Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha that will be held from February 3 to 5 at Mysore. Revered seer Jagadguru Shri Shri Shri Shivratrishwar Deshikendra Mahaswamiji from Karnataka’s Shri Veersinhasan Mahasansthan Math, Suttur will inaugurate the meet.

Renowned Agricultural Expert Devinder Sharma will grace the occasion as the chief guest. The meet will center around the farmers’ problems and discussion will be held regarding the current agricultural scenario of of the country.

Compared to the cost of production, farmers are not getting the proper value for their farm produce. This is a prime cause of concern for farmers. Government is not making investment in the field of agriculture. There are a number of anomalies regarding availability of water, fodder, fertilizers, etc which have stunted the growth of agricultural sector. Because of all these problems, farmers are running away from the farming profession. Government is totally inert and not at all concerned with all these problems. It has failed in formulating the Land Acquisition Act.

Recession has gripped the entire world. Communism has totally proved useless in solving the problems of common man. Under such circumstances, there is a need to explore different avenues. The meet will meditate on this aspect and resolutions will be passed regarding farmers’ problems.
