Bharathiya Kisan Sangh will conduct "Protection River Cauveri Holy Yatra"

Tiruchirapalli, Sep 18 : Bharathiya Kisan Sangh will undertake 21 days "Protection River Cauveri Holy Yatra" from Karnataka to Tamil Nadu from October 23 to November 11 next, to draw the attention of the authorities concerned to protect river Cauveri from the pollution.
In a statement here today, Mr Ayyakannu, Vice-President of the Sangh, said the proposed yatra would be commence on October 23 at Kudagu hills in Karnatakaand after passing through many places in both Karnatak and Tamil Nadu state and it would culminate at Poompuhar in Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu on November 11.
He said the participants of the yatra would explain to the general public about how the river Cauveri is being polluted in many ways and sought cooperation of the general public for the Yatra. He said the main object of the Yatra was to draw attention of the both Karnataka and Tamil Nadu Government and urge them to prevent pollution of the river.
