Guests addressing the plantation drive and awareness programme organised by Bharatiya Kisan Sangh
LAUNCHING a drive to plant above one lakh saplings, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS), Mahakoshal district, carried out plantation in Chhatarpur village of Panagar block. On the occasion, BKS State Organisation Secretary Bharat Patel enlightened views on importance of plantation and relation of plants with farmers.
He said plants create forest and forest gives rains. If there were no forests then there will be no rains. Hence, for farmers plants are most important. Appealing to the farmers, Patel said farmers should come forward to protect plants and make the campaign successful in its motive of making good environmental health for farmers and farming. Addressing the farmers, State President Vijay Gontia also encouraged farmers to actively participate in plantation drive.
Senior Social Worker from Panagar Sarvesh Mishra informed about environmental losses due to continuous declining density of forests said plants give us clean air to breathe and forests creates atmosphere for rains. Plants are real protectors of life on Earth. Protection of plants is a must for environmental health. The District President of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh informed that plantation drive of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh will continue during rainy season and plantation will be done at Gram Panchayat level.
Eminent amongst those who graced the programme were Jila Panchayat President Manorama Patel, State Public Contact Head, Raghvendra Singh Patel, Deputy Director, Agriculture, Anand Mohan Sharma, Dhananjay Patel, Alok Patel, Ashish Patel, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Tehsil and district unit heads, office bearers were present in large numbers.
